Tammy McAllister has been actively involved with dogs for 40 years. She has bred a few different breeds, shown, trained, trialed, boarded, wrangled and groomed. Tammy is certified in Canine CPR and First Aid. Along with her husband John and daughter Amanda, they have bred over 80 Canadian Bulldog Champions under the prefix Bulldacious Bulldogs. She believes that in her life she has never rescued a dog, as it was them who rescued her.

Amanda McAllister is a professional handler and member of CPHA (Canadian Professional Handlers Association), groomer and trainer. Amanda has trained under and worked with top handlers in both Canada and the United States. Amanda has piloted some of Canada’s top winning show dogs. The vehicle she drives is specifically outfitted with high impact crates and a heating and cooling system for travelling safely with your dogs . Please email her directly if interested in her handling rates.

John McAllister is a mechanical technologist by trade. Throughout his education and working career he learned skills that we are grateful to be utilizing here at Rolling Gait. He was a project manager and we sure have loaded him up with projects. If it’s been planned – he did it, if it’s been built – he did it, if it’s been repaired – he did it, if it’s broken, he will get it fixed. If you see anything that needs attention or have ideas to make Rolling Gait even better reach out to John.

Deb Harley is the training arena manager. She was eight when she got her first family dog and for her dogs have remained a key part of her life. Deb has had various breeds and mixes, mostly small dogs until she met her husband who owned a shepherd/collie/husky mix. In 1992 a border collie named Shela joined her family and less than a year later Deb began her quest for dog sport activities, with a keen interest in Flyball and agility. Both those dog sports were in their infancy at that time. Over the years, Deb became more drawn to Agility, and back then there were only two Agility organizations, the AAC and the USDAA. Deb grew along with the sport through its many evolutions to their current venues and Associations. The Agility family is a close knit community, which gave Deb the opportunity to acquire many enduring friendships and experiences through training, trailing, in person and online seminars, committee memberships and two Ontario Regionals Championships in the early days. Over the years, Deb has been involved in breeding her Border Collies. Deb’s journey continues as she eagerly moves along the path this Sport takes her, and we are fortunate to have her talents here at Rolling Gait Canine Centre.
A good friend once told me “You are so lucky to have such a passion in life. Never lose it.”

Holly came to us several years ago with the intent to purchase a bulldog as a pet, needless to say, she acquired three of them and fortunately hasn’t left. If it’s clean, organized, decorated and smells good, you can be sure it is Holly’s doing. Holly is able to cover us in any situation. As a previous hair dresser and current business owner her skills have been utilized in the office, assisting with grooming, helping with puppies and giving extra lovin’ to all the dogs. We’d be lost without her and miss her sense of humour.

Ethan joined our team in September of 2025. Ethan joins us to fill multiple different rolls; working in the boarding kennel, doing maintenance, helping with tear down and set up in the training arena. Ethan has always had a passion for animals and has a calm, mature, kind approach to their care. When not working here, Ethan enjoys the outdoors biking, hiking, fishing or paddle boarding.
We love this spot, one of the best in the area. Wish we were closer but it’s worth the drive when we have the time. Beautiful wooded area for pups to explore and run about, it’s perfect. Thanks!
