Obedience
Obedience training at the beginner level focuses on basic commands like sit, stay and come. Canine obedience can also be done at a competitive level where handler and dog are evaluated by a judge though designated exercises. We offer basic obedience through to the competitive levels. Rally Obedience
Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that has been designed by the rally judge. The judge tells the handler to begin, and the dog and handler proceed at their own pace through a course of designated stations (10 – 20, depending on the level). We offer classes in Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. Contact us for more information on upcoming classes.
Puppy Classes
Puppy training includes teaching a young dog or puppy to react to particular commands and cues as well as to act independently. Contact us for upcoming classes.
Agility
Dog agility is a sport where you direct your dog through a pre-set obstacle course within a certain time limit. Courses typically have between 14-20 obstacles, which can include tunnels, weave poles, tire jumps, teeter totter, and jumps. We offer classes in agility and hourly rental of building and equipment for practice. Contact us for more information on upcoming classes.
Nose Work
Nose Work, informally called dog nose work or scent training, is an up-and-coming canine sport. Similar to search-and-rescue work, this activity involves the dog seeking out and finding different scents hidden in various environments, both indoors and outside. You start by getting your dog excited about using their excellent sense of smell to search for a favorite toy or treat hidden in one of several boxes. As the dog gains more skill, specific target odors are introduced, and the search can be expanded to entire rooms or outdoor locations.
Conformation
Come practice on our fully matted 42 foot by 78 foot indoor space. We currently have a ring side table but no ramp yet available for practice. Check in with us to enquire about next available classes.
